1. Who we are

AI CareerVerse ("we", "us", "our") operates the website aicareerverse.com and its related services — an AI-powered career platform offering resume building, ATS scoring, cover letters, AI mock interviews, career coaching, job matching and a scholarship finder.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account information: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
• Career content you provide: resumes you upload or build, cover letters, statements of purpose, skills, education, work history, job preferences and similar profile details.
• Mock interview data: your typed or spoken answers, interview transcripts and the feedback scores we generate. Camera-based body-language analysis runs inside your browser — the video itself is not sent to our servers; only summary scores are saved. If you use the optional appearance check, a single still image is sent for AI analysis and is not stored — only the resulting scores are saved. If you use the optional voice analysis, an audio sample is processed to create a transcript and scores; the raw audio is not stored.
• Payment information: when you buy a plan, payments are processed by our payment provider (Razorpay). We receive and keep a record of the transaction (amount, status, plan) but we do not see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
• Usage and device information: pages visited, features used, approximate location (country/city derived from IP address), browser and device type, collected through cookies and Google Analytics, plus server logs used for security and troubleshooting.
• Messages you send us, such as feedback or support requests.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your resume or interview content to train our own AI models.

• To create and secure your account, including email verification, login, two-factor authentication and fraud/abuse prevention.
• To provide the features you request — for example parsing your resume, generating ATS scores, cover letters and interview feedback, and matching you with jobs and scholarships.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions, referrals and wallet credits.
• To send you service emails (verification, password reset, receipts, important account notices).
• To understand how the site is used and improve it (analytics).
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. AI processing and service providers

To deliver the service we share the minimum necessary data with trusted providers who process it on our behalf:

• Google (Gemini API) — AI generation and analysis of resumes, cover letters, interview answers and career plans.
• Microsoft Azure Speech — voice for the AI interviewer and speech/pronunciation analysis.
• Razorpay — payment processing.
• Railway — hosting of our application and database.
• Cloudflare — website security, bot protection (Turnstile) and content delivery.
• Email delivery providers — to send account and service emails.
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics.
• Google Sign-In — if you choose to log in with Google.

5. Recruiters and other users

Some features let recruiters registered on the platform view candidate profile information and contact candidates through AI CareerVerse. We do not publish your resume publicly. If you do not want to be contacted by recruiters, contact us and we will help you limit this.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and secure your session, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to measure site usage. If we display advertising in the future (for example through Google AdSense), Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites; you can manage personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site (such as login) will not work without essential cookies.

7. Data storage, security and retention

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers that may be located outside India. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords and tokens, encrypted two-factor secrets, rate limiting and access controls to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using reasonable security practices.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting purposes (such as payment records).

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; delete your account and personal data; withdraw consent you previously gave; and nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity. You can update most profile information directly in your dashboard.

To make a request, email aicareerversestartup@gmail.com from the email address registered on your account. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the period required by law.

9. Children

AI CareerVerse is intended for users aged 18 and above. Users under 18 may use the service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without such consent; if you believe this has happened, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or on the website.

11. Contact and grievances

If you have any question, concern or complaint about how your data is handled, please contact our grievance team at aicareerversestartup@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them as quickly as possible.
